Showcase your latest ICT innovation in Budapest!

Organized annually by the Hungarian Mobility and Multimedia Cluster since 2009, theHungarian Innovation TechShow offers an opportunity for innovative businesses to showcase their latest ICT products and services to an audience of professionals, investors, representatives of the media, and the general public. The primary aim of the TechShow is to provide a unique opportunity for the Hungarian ICT innovation ecosystem to show its best through live interactive demos in a media-friendly environment that is exciting both for the ICT profession and for the general public. However, for the first time this year, we are seeking innovative ICT solutions and startup ideas from outside of Hungary as well!

TechShow 2012’s top level sponsor is Magyar Telekom. Our government patrons are the  Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Hungarian National Innovation Office . Our key partners include the Hungarian Forum of Accredited ICT Clusters, the ICT Association of Hungary (IVSZ), the Hungarian Association for Innovation (MISZ), and the Scientific Association for Infocommunications Hungary (HTE). Our media partners are Bitport, Blog.huFigyelőIndexInsider BlogHWSWOrigo and The Next Web.

Keeping to the spirit of the previous TechShows, the objective of the organizers is to present a carefully selected small group of exhibitors, the best of the best. The 21 exhibitors will be selected through this open call by a panel of renowned experts, accomplished businesspeople and well-known opinion leaders. The winning proposals will get a chance to show and pitch their product/service at a full-day event on June 6th.

Besides the carefully picked exhibitors – last year 21 exhibitors were selected from close to 90 applicants –, this year’s event will give space to a Business Incubator Show as well, whereby Hungary’s most successful business incubators, accelerators, and academic tech transfer offices will show their most recent projects of pride. Furthermore, by inviting a few high-impact international keynote speakers (details to be announced later), we are aspiring this year to offer an attractive bilingual environment for international visitors, investors and exhibitors as well.

The TechShow 2012 is seeking innovative ICT solutions, products, and services that meet the following criteria:

  • were developed/created in the past 1-3 years,
  • have at least a functioning prototype that can be exhibited and interactively demoed,
  • have some element of genuine, internationally valid innovation in them,
  • belong – preferably but not exclusively – to one of the following areas:- latest-generation advertising and content sharing services- machine-to-machine communication, Internet of Things- mobile technologies, mobile applications- cyber security and access to cyber space.
